I Remember

I don't know if any of my relatives remember, and I know my 'friends' don't, but one year ago today, my father passed away.

I was supposed to visit his grave. I didn't... NOT because didn't want to, but because I wasn't able to. I just couldn't get a ride. I 'friend' said he'd give me a ride, but it's now almost 11pm as I start this. He REALLY let me down today.

I'd be mad, but I've had so much shit dumped on me in the past few months, I just can't seem to get up enough emotion to really even a little pissed.

I miss you every day, Dad.

Before and after.

A before and after of an old photo of the family farmstead. Took about an hour to fix all the crap in this one. It's still not as good as I could have done, but my wrist started to ache. lol

For sale...

I just got back from yet another antique shop, and once again they say 'Yes, they are worth that, but we can't afford to pay what they're worth'. *sigh* Fuck!

I'm asking $800 (worth $1500) for the Stanly-Bailey wood planes (9 of them, see pic), $175 (worth $300) for the English plow-plane (see pic), $100 (worth $150) for the 1933 World's Fair cane (see pic), $150 (worth $300) for the dagger cane(see pic, but mine is fancier), $200 for the other 4 canes and $150 for for the 1868 civil war saber bayonet(see pic, but mine doesn't have the sheath and has a brass handle). Of course, I haven't had any luck selling the electric wheelchair, that my dad got to use once (he went about a hundred yards to get the mail) before he passed away.

If anyone wants to buy any of these items, leave a comment with your email.

So... If you'll pardon me, I'm going to go beat my head against a wall in the meantime.

PS. The pics, I got from the net. I don't have a digital camera, and can't afford to get my film developed.

My first post on the new blog

Hello Friends! Welcome to the new IMPROVED Dragon's Lair!

OK. So there's not much to look at yet, but that WILL change. As I find cool stuff, I'll share it here. When I have a bad day, a good day or just have a thought I'd like to share, I will.
Brace yourself!
